To sign up for any of these classes, please email me at fvbveadshow@gmail.com. Payment is available via credit card, Paypal, E-transfer or cash. Payment arrangements are readily available for multiple classes.
All class fees and deposits are non-refundable. Please consider class registration as you would concert or movie tickets. If you can't make it to a class, you can send a friend in your place. In the very rare instance that I have to cancel a class, I will schedule a make-up class as soon as possible. If you can't make the arranged make-up class, I can either refund your class fee or apply it to another class of your choice.
Please note: Make-Up classes are NOT offered if you miss a class
You are welcome to bring your own tools for your use during class, though I have plenty of tools on hand for everyone to use. Please make sure any tools you bring are well marked for identification as we (myself and Mark Rockon Lapidary Supplies) are not responsible for any tools or materials lost or left behind.
July 28 - Essential Oil Roller Pendant - 10am-2pm
Cost: $150.00 – includes use of all tools and equipment during class, sterling silver and glass roller bottle.
Description: This intriguing little pendant is designed to hold a 1 ounce mini-roller bottle so you can apply your favorite essential oil wherever you go. Gemstones for this project are not included but readily available in the store during class. Come early and choose your stone before we get started! This class would be best suited to students with some soldering experience.
August 22-26 - BOOTCAMP!!!- 10am-4pm
Cost: $695.00 – includes use of all tools and equipment during class. Metal is available for purchase from instructor during class. All gemstones are available for purchase from Mark Rockon Lapidary Supply at time of class. Bring a snack and a drink - these are going to be intense, long, fun, exhausting, amazing days!
Description: Bootcamp is one of my favorite classes! We'll pack in a ton of learning in these 5 days! Project options are limited only by your imagination (and the equipment we have on hand, but we'll have lots of stuff to play with so don't worry about that!!) and we'll custom tailor the projects to your abilities and preferences so you'll get the most out of the week. Because we're set up for 5 full days, we can work on multiple pieces at a time, or on projects that will take a few days to complete, or just make a bunch of super simple pieces - it's up to you! For those of you that have taken classes with me before, you should know Shelley will be joining us for this one, so FUN is guaranteed! This class is suitable for students of all experience levels.
Sept. 12 - Oct. 31 (8 sessions) - Beginner's Silversmithing - Thursdays 6pm-9pm
If you would like to do a drop in class (one day), cost is $50. Email me to make arrangements!
Includes use of all tools and equipment during class. All metals can be purchased from the instructor at the time of class for each individual project (expect approx. $20 for the first project). All gemstones are available for purchase from Markrockon Lapidary Supply at time of class.
Description: In this workshop series, students will be introduced to the basics of making sterling silver jewelry using traditional fabrication techniques. Learn to saw, file, sand, texture, solder, and so on! The first project we tackle is a bezel set gemstone ring. From there each student is guided through projects of their own choosing (don't worry, the instructor will have lots of inspiration for you if you're not sure what you want to make!). With access to all of Mark's awe-mazing cabochons, the sky's the limit!
If you already have some silversmithing experience or have taken classes with me in the past, we will custom tailor the program to your specific needs. The small size of the class (max. 6 students), ensures you will get TONS of one on one attention and we can tackle all kinds of projects if you're up to it! Don't worry beginners, we won't leave you in the dust!
